This is something it took me a long time to admit, even to myself.

All creative people are self-absorbed.

We care about what goes on in our heads more than what goes on in “real life.”

We would rather look at what could be than what it is.

We are fascinated with how we perceive the world because we know our view is different.

We believe we are put on this planet for a purpose.

We know we have a gift.

We embrace the dark side of our brain instead of shame ourselves for it.

We connect dots in our heads other people don’t.

We filter everything we see through OUR way of thinking.

We don’t accept things the way they are.
