Don’t Work for Applause

Applause is hollow and cheap. Anyone can get it. Do a magic trick. Write about a tired self-help hack. Say encouraging things on a stage. Enjoy the applause.

Clapping is absurd if you think about it. What kind of reward is that? Who decided the best way to show appreciation is to stand around slapping your hands together. Weird.

Don’t seek applause. Seek attention. Seek consideration. Seek thoughts, minds, and hearts. That’s the whole point.

Create work that changes minds.
