It’s not a toy. It’s not a car. It’s not a house.
It’s not even a book (although those can be life-changing).
Hope is the best gift parents can give a child.
No other relationship is more emotionally charged as that of a parent and child. During no other time are words taken so wholly as truth than childhood.
In this short segment of years parents have the opportunity to build a mindset which a child will likely keep for the rest of her life. To this day, much of how I think and act blooms from the foundation my parents built.
If a parent chooses to instill hope, imagine how resilient that child would be. She would stride through life with one thought burning in her head:
“No matter how good or bad today is, tomorrow could be better.”
This one thought is more powerful than money, more practical than connections, more useful than any skill.
Massive failure? No big deal. Tomorrow could be better.
Great success? Excellent. All the better to make a good day tomorrow.
Unstoppable hope conquers all.
Much love as always,
