When to Discard Your Favorite Sentences

We writers have a weird disorder.

Our words are hard earned, so it’s tempting to hold on to them. We want to make it work. We want to push, fit, or squeeze them in somewhere.

Sometimes it’s better to just hit that delete key.

I have to tell myself often: “You wrote those words. You can write more.”

Thanks for the input Anthony Hinko
